BASICS
Name: Maxwell Carter/The Great Maxwell (né William Carter)
Fandom: Don't Starve Together
Timeline: "From Beyond: Terrors Below" update
Age: 36
Gender: male
OOC
Backtagging: depends
Threadhopping: depends
Fourthwalling: depends
I am new to this and I don't entirely know my comfort levels yet, so I'm not sure what does and does not work for me in terms of reply schedules and practices.
Squicks: Anything that would trigger emetophobia
Hard triggers: In-depth discussion of real-world religion; saying I (the writer) am going to hell, even jokingly
IC
Flirting with this character: yes
Hugging this character: yes, but he's not going to know how to respond
Kissing this character: ask first
Injuring this character: yes
Killing this character: usually yes, but ask first
Using telepathy on this character: yes
Orientation: bi, but in denial
Warnings: Due to his time as the Nightmare King, Maxwell's mind and soul have been twisted into something bordering on inhuman. Though he's not incapable of forming human relationships and doing things out of the goodness of his own heart, he's cold and quick to lash out when he feels threatened. That being said, it's likely that he'll use a character's insecurities against them in an argument. Please let me know immediately if I cross a line.
Sex scenes: please speak with me first, it isn't out of the question but I'll want to plan ahead
STATS
Powers/abilities: He can draw shadow servants, traps, and duelists from his Codex Umbra; he is also capable of extracting "forbidden knowledge" (rituals, future knowledge) from its pages. Maxwell also has limited "hammerspace" in his pockets- he can't carry an infinite supply of things, but he can fit a lot more things than those 1906 pinstripe pants pockets should.
Weaknesses: The Codex Umbra requires Nightmare Fuel to use, and without it, Maxwell cannot conjure. Translating forbidden knowledge takes a lot of time, and the more complex the secret, the more time that will take. Maxwell has suffered from chronic illness since childhood, meaning he's frail and easily injured (he has about half the HP of other canon characters in his game). This Maxwell in particular has some minor monstrous features as a result of his long reign as Nightmare King: claws, inky bruises around his wrists, legs, arms, neck, and chest. As a result, he gets very nervous about the prospect of taking clothes off. Upon death, everything he was carrying in hammerspace spills out around him.
